London Luton airport consists of a single terminal. As the airport mainly serves low-cost carriers, facilities are rather rudimentary and costs are high.
You can find 24-hour concession options on both the city side and airside. There's Wi-Fi to help you pass the time, and lounges that economy passengers can pay to use are available.
Sleeping at the airport
Good places to sleep can be hard to find at Luton airport. Be prepared for limited seating, noise, crowds and cold temperatures.
Earplugs and warm layers are recommended. For uninterrupted sleep, there are hotels close to the airport.
London Luton: the different airport lounges
Whatever class you travel in, there's a lounge you can access by paying at the door, buying a lounge pass or via a lounge membership program.
The Aspire Lounge is the airport's highest-quality option. However, it is temporarily closed for renovation from December 15, 2023 to June 30, 2024, is located next to the customs1ᵉʳ floor, opposite Accessorize.

You can take advantage of locker luggage storage at various rates. The airport offers luggage storage at the following rates:
- 6.38 per bag/item (up to 3 hours)
- 10.63 per bag/item (from 3 to 24 hours)
- 8.50 per bag/item (every 24 hours thereafter)
- 42.50 per bag/item (per week)
The instructions remain open:
- Every day from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.
How do I get to and from the airport?
For easy access to the airport, you can take advantage of the various means of transport available to you.
Use the different bus services
The airport is well connected to the bus. Whether you need a shuttle to the station, a quick connection to central London or a long-distance coach, there's probably a bus for you.
Use a carpooling service
Uber operates throughout the UK. A ride to central London will cost you around £53.
Prefer the cab
From cabs are readily available outside the terminal. In town, cabs can stop on the street to take you to the airport.
Please note that if your cab drops you off in the priority drop-off zone (closest to the airport), a fee of £5.00 will be charged for a waiting time of up to 10 minutes.
You can also go to the Mid Stay parking lot and walk 10 minutes to the terminal.
London's Luton airport may not be one of the most frequently used airports. However, it is an airport where you can arrive with your long-haul flight. So it's important to Make sure you study the location before you arrive to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
