If you're lucky enough to visit in summer, you'll be able to enjoy the park's thousands of flowers. From here, you'll see <strong>a large hill that slopes down to the city.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here you'll find people walking to work, strollers and lots of joggers. You've heard <strong>about Greenwich Mean Time?<\/strong> Its epicenter is here.<\/p>\n<p>This museum also houses the First Meridian. This is the exact point that divides our planet into the Eastern and Western hemispheres.<\/p>\n<p>The first meridian is<strong> a line of longitude defined as 0 degrees.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Finally, there's a really interesting museum that you can explore at your own pace.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc151272709\"><\/a><strong>London's Greenwich Village: the National Maritime Museum<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>At the foot of Greenwich Park are the Maritime Museum and the Queen's House.<\/p>\n<p>Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourlondres.fr\/en\/navy-museum-london\/\">Maritime Museum<\/a> is the largest museum of its kind in the world. It tells the fascinating story of Great Britain.<\/p>\n<p>What's more, the museum is completely free of charge. Throughout the year, they organize special lectures, <strong>musical events and much more<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that the Maritime Museum is<strong> busiest from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.<\/strong>. So plan your visit early in the morning or later in the afternoon.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc151272710\"><\/a><strong>The Queen's House<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Another interesting stop just outside <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourlondres.fr\/en\/queen-s-house-greenwich\/\">Greenwich Park is Queen's House<\/a>. You may be confused, as this is obviously not the case. <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourlondres.fr\/en\/buckingham-palace\/\">Buckingham Palace<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>This palace was built in the 1600s for Anne of Denmark. Unfortunately, Anne died before the work could be completed. As a result, construction of the palace was <strong>completed by a later member of the royal family.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Queen's House now houses a collection of major works of art, including paintings by :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>William Hodges<\/li>\n<li>George Stubbs<\/li>\n<li>Hans Holbein<\/li>\n<li>William Hogarth<\/li>\n<li>Thomas Gainsborough.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There is also a large collection of works by Dutch artists who have had <strong>a workshop here for 20 years in the 1670s.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc151272711\"><\/a><strong>London's Greenwich Village: Cutty Sark<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourlondres.fr\/en\/cutty-sark\/\">Cutty Sark<\/a> is by far the most popular site visited in Greenwich Village. Located in the middle of a lively square, it's hard to miss this magnificent ship!<\/p>\n<p>This historic monument was reopened in 2012 after extensive restoration work. And it's a fascinating place to walk around.<\/p>\n<p>The Cutty Sark is child-friendly! It's highly interactive<strong> your little ones will have a great time exploring it!<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc151272712\"><\/a><strong>Take a stroll through Greenwich Market<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Open 7 days a week, Greenwich Market is <strong>a fun place to stroll.<\/strong> You can find :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Food<\/li>\n<li>Clothes<\/li>\n<li>Jewelry<\/li>\n<li>Antiques<\/li>\n<li>Craftsmanship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Because there's so much there, if you're limited on time, it might be a good idea to visit first. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenwichmarket.london\/\">website<\/a> and draw up a visit plan.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc151272713\"><\/a><strong>Greenwich Village in London: the Greenwich pedestrian tunnel<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>One of the coolest things to do in London's Greenwich Village is to walk through the pedestrian tunnel. You can enter right next to the Cutty Sark. You'll pass <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourlondres.fr\/en\/cruise-on-the-tamise\/\">under the Thames<\/a> to the island's gardens.<\/p>\n<p>Although the tunnel is old, it has been in existence since 1902. It is therefore <strong>perfectly safe to walk around.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc151272714\"><\/a><strong>Eltham Palace and Gardens<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Although this medieval palace dates back several hundred years and was once a Tudor royal residence, you'll be amazed <strong>by its Art Deco atmosphere.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The mansion was completely renovated by eccentric millionaires Stephen and Virginia Courtauld.
