It's a well-balanced breakfast that includes :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bacon<\/li>\n<li>Eggs<\/li>\n<li>Sausages<\/li>\n<li>Black pudding<\/li>\n<li>Tomatoes<\/li>\n<li>Baked beans<\/li>\n<li>Mushrooms<\/li>\n<li>Toasted bread<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is drunk with tea or coffee.<\/p>\n<p>English breakfast is one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourlondres.fr\/en\/cafe-london\/\">London's best dishes, and numerous caf\u00e9s<\/a> and ads<strong> serve them at any time of day.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This national meal dates back to ancient Anglo-Saxon traditions, when it was common practice to serve a hearty breakfast to guests, relatives and neighbors.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc148236069\"><\/a><strong>Typical London dishes: Afternoon tea<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>L'heure du th\u00e9 is an old-fashioned meal taken in the late afternoon or early evening. This light meal consists of :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tea<\/li>\n<li>Cakes<\/li>\n<li>Cookies<\/li>\n<li>Several pastries<\/li>\n<li>Bread<\/li>\n<li>Jam<\/li>\n<li>Sandwiches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Afternoon tea has its origins in the observance of customs common among the wealthy socialites of early England.<\/p>\n<p>Anna Maria, Duchess of Bedford, invented afternoon tea. Over the years, <strong>it's become a less formal meal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc148236070\"><\/a><strong>Sunday roast<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>One of the most historic and famous dishes to try in London is Sunday Roast. This sumptuous meal originated in England, where it was traditional to take <strong>a hearty meal after Sunday services.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The meal is usually served on Sunday and includes :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Roasted meat<\/li>\n<li>Mashed potatoes<\/li>\n<li>Roasted potatoes<\/li>\n<li>Mint sauce<\/li>\n<li>Yorkshire pudding<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This appetizing dish is also served with vegetables.<\/p>\n<p>You can find Sunday Roast <strong>in most pubs on Sundays.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc148236071\"><\/a><strong>Typical London dishes: bangers and mashed potato<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Also known as sausage and mashed potato, this traditional London dish is easy to prepare and has been around for centuries.<\/p>\n<p>Popular in Great Britain and Ireland, bangers and mashed potato consist of<strong> flavoured pork, lamb or beef sausages served with mashed potatoes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is usually served with an onion sauce and can also include fried peas and\/or onions.<\/p>\n<p>Mainly served in pubs, it's hard to resist the succulent sausages wrapped in a delicious, creamy pile of mashed potatoes and fragrant onion gravy.<\/p>\n<p>Because of its popularity, this dish ranks <strong>as one of Britain's most popular.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc148236072\"><\/a><strong>Beef Wellington<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Looking for refined British cuisine?
