Very popular, it eventually disappeared as the area's wealthy residents complained about the commotion it caused, but the name remained.<\/p>\n<p>Between the 17th and 18th centuries, Mayfair was developed on the lands of the <strong>family<\/strong> <strong>Grosvenor<\/strong> who acquired more than 200 hectares.
