It is <strong>a place of worship<\/strong> which testifies to the richness of Indian art, with admirable architecture both inside and out.<\/p>\n<p>Access is via white steps leading up to the temple, easily recognizable with its traditional towers. The structure is magnificent, with a facade adorned with statues of divinities and a <strong>a wealth of details<\/strong> engraved in marble. Then enter, for a breathtaking discovery.<\/p>\n<p>The interior of the Mandir is made <strong>of wood and marble<\/strong> and you won't know where to turn, so refined is everything. You'll feel the spirituality emanating from the place, and the visit will leave a lasting impression. It's an ideal compromise for those who dream of visiting India but haven't yet been able to do so.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The Understanding Hinduism exhibition<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In addition to being a major place of worship for Hindu culture, Mandir offers visitors the chance to immerse themselves in <strong>traditions and origins<\/strong> Hindu movements, through a permanent exhibition called <em>Understanding Hinduism<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In this space of <strong>278 m<sup>2<\/sup><\/strong>Here, you'll come across explanatory panels, works of art celebrating Hinduism, handicrafts and a variety of play materials to help you better understand the roots of this religion.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Shayona, a restaurant serving traditional Indian cuisine<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>One of London's strengths is the diversity of its gastronomy. You'll find <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourlondres.fr\/en\/restaurant-london\/\">excellent restaurants<\/a> and there's no shortage of good Indian restaurants. A treat, with dishes to suit all tastes!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Haveni cultural center<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>For further exploration of the temple and Hindu culture, don't miss the Haveni cultural space. It contains <strong>an impressive library<\/strong>All in a building made entirely of wood.<br \/>\n<a name=\"3\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>How do I reach Mandir easily?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Mandir can be found at the following address, <em>BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, 105-119 Brentfield route, Neasden, London NW10 8LD<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>It's about 15 kilometers from central London, in the north-west. For easy access, just take :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourlondres.fr\/en\/bus-london\/\">The bus,<\/a> with lines 18, 112, 224, 206, 232 and 611<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourlondres.fr\/en\/london-metro\/\">By metro<\/a>to Neasden station (Jubilee lines), then walk about 15 minutes<\/li>\n<li>You will find <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourlondres.fr\/en\/london-cab\/\">cabs<\/a> on site<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a name=\"4\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Mandir: prices, opening hours and practical information<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Here's what you need to know before visiting the Mandir temple, for the perfect visit to the heart of Hindu culture.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Rates and booking<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>It is <strong>no need to reserve<\/strong> your visit to the Mandir temple.<\/p>\n<p>The entrance is <strong>free of charge<\/strong> for the temple; you'll be asked to pay a small fee of \u00a32.00 to see the permanent exhibition on Hinduism.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Opening hours<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The temple is open daily from 9am to 6pm.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that during Hindu calendar celebrations, timetables may be subject to change.<\/p>\n<p>You can easily spend 2 hours there.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Practical information<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Inside, volunteers can <strong>accompany you<\/strong> and provide you with explanations of your surroundings.<\/p>\n<p>However, there are <strong>rules to respect<\/strong>. No photos inside (you'll be asked to leave your bag in the locker). And dress appropriately, with shoulders covered and no clothes too short or too bare.<br \/>\n<a name=\"5\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>What to see and do in the area?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Although Mandir is a little out of the way, you can choose between two interesting activities in the area:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A visit to the emblematic <a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourlondres.fr\/en\/wembley-stadium\/\">Wembley Stadium<\/a>the temple of <strong>the English national soccer team<\/strong>.
