Today, it has been refurbished and <strong>opened under the name TramShed in Cardiff.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now Cardiff's newest venue, this large industrial space hosts everything from rock to reggae, comedians to club nights, film screenings to food festivals.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1318 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/bonjourlondres.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/tramshed-1.jpg\" alt=\"tramshed\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bonjourlondres.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/tramshed-1.jpg 800w, https:\/\/bonjourlondres.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/tramshed-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bonjourlondres.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/tramshed-1-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc158836564\"><\/a><strong>A place to party<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Whether you're looking for concerts, DJs, comedy or even a fitness class, you can be sure that the TramShed will offer you the very best in entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, many artists have flocked here,<strong> giving this place its present-day soul.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc158836565\"><\/a><strong>TramShed: a long list of artists<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Opened in October 2015 with an inaugural concert by Irish rock band Hothouse Flowers, the TramShed has been attracting top talent ever since.<\/p>\n<p>It's always an eclectic line-up at this venue, with stars who have graced the hall's stage including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Billy Ocean<\/li>\n<li>Public Enemy<\/li>\n<li>5ive<\/li>\n<li>Craig Charles<\/li>\n<li>Gary Numan<\/li>\n<li>Songhoy Blues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But it's not all music at TramShed. That's right, <strong>many different types of events take place in this superb venue.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You're just as likely to find yourself at a cheese festival, indie wrestling show, film screening, bingo or yoga class as in the mosh pit or crowd surfing.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc158836566\"><\/a><strong>Can you eat or drink here?<\/strong><strong>?<\/strong><strong> \u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>It's forbidden to bring food and drink into the TramShed. But with plenty of space on site and plenty of places to eat and drink nearby, you'll have no trouble filling up.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you want a snack before your exercise class or a meal before a concert, <strong>there's plenty of choice at TramShed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you'd like to eat in, head to the waiting room for sandwiches, light snacks or burgers.<\/p>\n<p>Located to the west of Cardiff city center, there are still many excellent restaurants and caf\u00e9s nearby.<\/p>\n<p>If you're looking for excellent portions of good Italian food at a good price and in a relaxed atmosphere, make a trip to La Manitoba. It's my safe bet <strong>when I go there.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc158836567\"><\/a><strong>What to do near the TramShed<\/strong><strong>?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Head east across the river to Principality Stadium. Formerly known as the Millennium Stadium, this is the home of the Welsh national rugby team.<\/p>\n<p>But Wales' national stadium isn't just for sports fans: it also regularly hosts huge concerts by music superstars.<\/p>\n<p>Follow the River Taff northwards and you'll enter<strong> one of the UK's finest green spaces: Bute Park.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With a world-renowned arboretum, numerous hiking trails and picnic areas, you'll find plenty to keep you busy in this park.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc158836568\"><\/a><strong>How to get to the TramShed<\/strong><strong>?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Located to the west of Cardiff city center, there are several ways to get to the TramShed.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>By bus<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If you want to take a bus to the TramShed, you'll find plenty of routes in the city center. To find a bus stop a little closer to the site, just click on <strong>92, 93, 94, X45 or 9.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>By train<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The nearest station is Cardiff Central, a 10-minute walk away. Exit the station and turn left onto Wood Street. Cross the river, turn left onto the embankment, then right onto Pendyris Street.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you're travelling to Cardiff from London to enjoy an evening of music, or you're here to see the sights, I'd recommend a trip to the TramShed.
