It is a commuter train opened to the public in 2007. <strong>to serve Greater London.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Arriva Rail London and Network Rail both manage the London Overground network. Arriva Rail London manages the stations and trains, while Network Rail maintains the tracks and signals.<\/p>\n<p>London Overground <strong>connects 23 London boroughs<\/strong>. For night service, the Overground covers just one route.<\/p>\n<p>The routes are <strong>classified into six overhead lines<\/strong> from London :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the East London line<\/li>\n<li>the North London line<\/li>\n<li>Watford DC line<\/li>\n<li>the Gospel Oak To Barking line<\/li>\n<li>the Lea Valley line<\/li>\n<li>the Romford-Upminster line<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc156832852\"><\/a><strong>How do I pay for this means of transport?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Hop on and pay your London Overground fare with five payment options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>paper ticket<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bonjourlondres.fr\/en\/oyster\/\">Oyster Card<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Travelcard<\/li>\n<li>Visitor Oyster Card<\/li>\n<li>Contactless credit card<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc156832853\"><\/a><strong>How much does Overground transport cost?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The total cost of your ticket depends on the distance you travel and the mode of transport you use.<\/p>\n<p>Generally, rates are based on <strong>of the tariff zones you have visited.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On average, you should expect to pay around \u00a310 for an average journey on this form of public transport.<\/p>\n<p>Each station is located in a tariff zone, from zone 1 to zone 9.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc156832854\"><\/a><strong>London peak and off-peak times<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Bear in mind that there are peak and off-peak times. The fare is higher if you travel during rush hour.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to travel at more affordable rates, it's best to use <strong>the London Overground during off-peak hours.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc156832855\"><\/a><strong>London night service<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Weekend night travel is no problem with the London Overground Night Service. Night services are available from Highbury &amp; Islington to New Cross Gate London Overground, and vice versa.<\/p>\n<p>It runs from Friday evening to early Saturday morning, and from Saturday evening to early Sunday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Trips on night services are charged at off-peak rates. If you need to transfer to other lines, this is possible with the Night Tube on the Canada Water of Jubilee line or the Highbury &amp; Islington of Victoria line.<\/p>\n<p>You can also take the night buses available at all Overground Night Service stations, with the exception of Shadwell and Wapping stations.<\/p>\n<p>Taking the London Overground is a quick way to reach the city's most isolated districts.
