He later became Prince Regent, then King George IV.<\/p>\n<p>Queen Victoria and William IV, George's successors, also used the Royal Pavilion. In 1787, the Prince commissioned architect Henry Holland to enlarge the building.<\/p>\n<p>This part was the Pavillon Marin, which had<strong> a neoclassical style with paintings by Biagio Rebecca.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Between 1815 and 1822, architect John Nash was responsible for remodeling the pavilion, and Frederick Crace and Robert Jones were in charge of the interior design. The building's appearance was strongly influenced by Indian and Chinese architecture.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc156777081\"><\/a><strong>Visit Brighton's Royal Pavilion<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Before entering the Royal Pavilion, spend some time in the magnificent Pavilion Garden, part of the estate's grounds.
