Your passport will be checked at the Gare du Nord in Paris before you board the Eurostar Paris-London train.<\/p>\n<p>There are separate lines for European passport holders and all other passport holders.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc156685509\"><\/a><strong>How long do you stay underwater on the Eurostar?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The speed limit in the Channel Tunnel for trains is 160 km\/h. The Channel Tunnel stretches 37.9 km under the English Channel, making it the longest underwater tunnel in the world. By Eurostar, <strong>you'll be underwater for around 13 minutes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc156685510\"><\/a><strong>Is Eurostar faster than flying?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>It takes 2 hours and 30 minutes to get from Paris to London by Eurostar. With security and customs checks taking a further 30 minutes, your total journey time from the city center can be 3 hours.<\/p>\n<p>The Eurostar is faster than the plane, thanks to airport security. <strong>takes longer than trains and airport locations.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So it's better to take the Eurostar to Paris and London than to fly. When you travel by Eurostar, the stations are located in the city center, saving you time and money once you've reached your destination.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc156685511\"><\/a><strong>Can you see underwater on the Eurostar?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Eurostar trains have beautiful bay windows in the seats that allow you to see outside. Your bags will either go into the luggage racks at the end of the carriage, or into the overhead space above your seat.<\/p>\n<p>There's plenty of space for your bags. You'll need to label all<strong> your bags with your name before you drop them off.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Simply place your luggage on the luggage racks, find your seat and enjoy the ride, then collect your luggage when you get off the train.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc156685514\"><\/a><strong>Are there tables on the Eurostar?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Each Eurostar carriage offers its passengers tables. However, not every seat will have a table, as most only have a fold-down tray at the back of the seat in front of them.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to sit at a table, reserve seats facing each other, as these seats are separated by tables.<\/p>\n<p>The journey between Paris and London on the Eurostar train is much quicker and more pleasant than by air.
