Located in the heart of Chelsea, this fantastic newcomer opened its doors in November and is a welcome addition to London's steakhouse scene.
As the first UK outpost of the luxurious Beefbar brand, created in Monaco by renowned restaurateur Riccardo Giraudi, expectations were high, but this place is up to the task.
Inspired by a street food menu, entrees include:
- Bao Signature breads
- A delicious Wagyu beef smoked with jasmine tea
- Rib-eye ham with barbecue sauce
- Quesadillas
- Beef Shawarmas.
Classic dishes to try now
But the star attraction here is the selection of main courses, which include an appetizing filet mignon with creamy mashed potatoes and the classic steak/frites, drizzled with their unique sauce.
If you have room for dessert, opt for Gelato Mantecato, washed down with a bottle of Chianti.

Hawksmoor
As the true king of red meat, Hawksmoor is the best place to go if you're a meat lover.
When it opened in 2006, this London steakhouse made a commitment to serving only the best beef in the UK.
Since then, they have ensured that all their beef comes from local British farms and from cattle that have led the best quality of life.
The steak served here is truly delicious. Add beef fries and half a lobster to start your meal and you'll be in heaven!
Plus, on Mondays, they have a BYOB policy, where you can bring your own wine and pay only £5 corkage fee.
Steakhouse in London: The Flat Iron
Flat Iron is the perfect place to enjoy a good steak. Economical, you'll pay just £13 for your main course.
You can also enjoy :
- Beef chips
- Macaroni and truffle cheese
- Creamed spinach
As well as this, the establishment offers a number of perks. You're greeted with a free bowl of popcorn.
You can also ask for the wine list, which is breathtaking. Finally, you should know that the establishment sources its meat locally, with some of the cuts on offer coming from their own herd of cattle in North Yorkshire.
The Blacklock
If you're looking for one of the best steakhouses in London, you'll find it in the district of Soho. On-site, you'll enjoy the finest wood-grilled cuts. You can enjoy delicious steaks accompanied by :
- Beef chips
- Roasted sweet potatoes
- Beans
They also offer a whole range of delicious sauces. These include their famous garlic marrow spread and a chili-infused hollandaise sauce. For desert, try the white chocolate cheesecake. A true delight.
Steakhouse in London: Gaucho
If you want to try the best steakhouses in London, you can't miss Gaucho.
Renowned for its fantastic blend of meat and wine, this upscale chain, whose name literally translates as "brave and skillful rider", brings you on a platter the true flavours of Argentina.
There are currently twelve branches in the English capital, all offering a zero-carbon "Lomo Verde" option that contributes to a program to reforest the Amazon rainforest.
It may not be the cheapest option on this list, but it's certainly worth it if you have a special occasion to celebrate.
