Richmond: one of London's most popular districts

Richmond is an area in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, in southwest London.

It's known for its rich history, beautiful parks and gardens and excellent transport links.

A brief history of Richmond

Richmond has a rich and varied history dating back to the Tudor period. The district was originally a royal residence, but has gradually been developed into a residential district in the 19th century.

During the 20th century, Richmond became a hub of trade and tourism and has since become known for its superb parks and gardens, as well as its rich cultural heritage.

Today, Richmond is a prosperous and dynamic region, with a strong sense of community and a rich cultural scene.

What can you find in the neighbourhood?

Richmond in London: is it a safe neighborhood??

Richmond is generally considered to be a safe area, with crime rates below the national average.

However, as in any field, some areas are more crime-prone than others.

We advise you to keep your valuables out of sight. The local police force, Metropolitan Police Service, undertakes to ensure the safety of the area.
