Restaurant overlooking the Thames in London: Caravel
The brick-red barge is home to the Spiteri brothers' first restaurant, Caravel. Once on board, you'll be immediately charmed by the cosy little dining room, with its parquet floor and lamp-lit tables.
If you're not yet completely won over, the food will see to that. There's a short, thoughtful menu featuring flavor combinations you've probably never tried before.
The good news is that this changes regularly, so you have a good excuse to come back.

- Thursday to Saturday 12 to 4 p.m. and 5:30 to 11 p.m.

Le Coppa Club
Coppa Club has launched the igloo dining trend in the capital. These are sturdy constructions with wooden frames and glass walls.
Inside, there are more cushions, plaids and mood lighting than you know what to do with.
The food served here, as well as in the main restaurant, café and bar, is international in approach, from pan-fried prawns to sourdough pizzas.

Old Dutch barge De Hoop houses one of the world's largest London's finest riverside restaurants.
Moored at Hackney Wick, Barge East serves a set menu for lunch and dinner, to be enjoyed on or below deck.
Expect healthy, inventive dishes like fish with pumpkin and seaweed quenelles or duck breast with blackberries and sage.
What are the opening hours?

- Monday to Thursday from 4 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. to midnight
- Sunday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Le Tavolino
The views are even better when dining at Tavolino. The two-storey Italian restaurant has an outdoor terrace right on the river, and picture windows indoors offering a great view of the city's sights.
The only thing likely to distract your eyes is the pasta, made daily on the spot and featured in dishes such as bucatini cacio e pepe.

- Sunday to Wednesday 12 pm to 10 pm
- Thursday to Saturday from 12 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Restaurant overlooking the Thames: the Fulham
The man behind Bottle + Rye, Sorella and a string of other excellent London restaurants has opened a Fulham suite at Maria G's in Kensington.
This place gives the impression that dining on the banks of the Thames looks like a dinner party on the Amalfi coast.
Having a separate bar and outdoor terrace right by the river also helps you dream of being on the other side of the world.
When can you get there?
Opening hours are :
- Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Thursday 12 to 2:30 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m.
- Friday 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Saturday 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Cheese Barge
This waterside restaurant has two floors for sampling cheesy delights. The rooftop terrace, reserved for summer, is more casual, with grilled sandwiches, cheese platters and more.
The dining room offers more ambitious dishes as well as cheese and wine platters.
Come winter, don't miss Fondue Thursdays. You can probably guess what's involved.

Restaurant overlooking the Thames: the London Shell Co
It's pretty hard to avoid London Shell Co. It's not just a restaurant on the river. The barge Prince Regent, home to London Shell Co, is moored on its site near Little Venice and cruises up and down Regent's Canal during its lunch and dinner services.
On board, the five-course "cruise menu" is devoted entirely to seafood, with a particular focus on British products.
It changes daily, but can include dishes such as :
- Cornish crab with cream
- Hake with zucchini, ricotta and basil.

- Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
