Winter in London lasts from December to February, with January and February normally the coldest months.

London offers a wide range of winter activities. Among the list of things to do are trips to Christmas markets or museum visits to warm you up.
Going to a Christmas market
Christmas in London is a magical time. The Christmas lights, the carols, the trees adorned with all kinds of decorations are incredible. But don't miss the Christmas markets.
In recent years, London's Christmas markets and fairs have multiplied.
From Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland to the more relaxed Kingston, there are plenty of places to do some pre-Christmas shopping, sip mulled wine and eat all the Christmas goodies you want.
Visit London's museums
There's so much going on in London during the winter that it can be easy to overlook some of the classic sights.
During this period, however, you should visit one of the city's impressive museums, even if you're only in London for a few days.

There are so many ephemeral ice rinks in the city, you'll have no trouble choosing. The biggest and best-known are at the Natural History Museum and Somerset House.
See the Trafalgar Square Christmas tree
The Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square is a London icon. Every year since 1947, Norway has offered a tree in London to commemorate their alliance during the Second World War.
Stop by while you're visiting central London and enjoy a little Christmas cheer.
Covent Garden's Christmas tree is equally impressive, decorated with around 30,000 lights.
Treat yourself to a wonderful day at the spa
Spending a day in a spa is always an attractive prospect, but especially when it's cold and rainy.
London has no shortage of fabulous spas, but my personal favorite is the K Spa at the K West Hotel. Here you'll find a chic, award-winning spa with :

Snuggle up in an igloo by the river
Nothing says winter in London like snuggling up in a clear plastic igloo on the banks of the Thames with a view of the River Thames. Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.
The Coppa Club's winter igloos arrived in the capital for the first time a few years ago. a key element in London's winter calendar.
Like almost all good things in London, igloos need to be booked well in advance.
