A giant of the LEGO world
The two-storey, 914-square-meter store is the largest LEGO-brand retailer in the world, beating the Shanghai-based company to first place.
More than 1.7 million LEGO bricks were used to build all the LEGO models you see on its premises, including the fully functional replica of Big Ben6 metres high and made of 200,000 bricks.
Lego store London: hunt for figurines
As some of you may already know, to get the collector figurine in this location, you need to spend a minimum of £55.
The store will then give you a scratch card and you can see if you win. either the mascot figurine or a Lego Creator bag.
Get your box of LEGO Architecture London
The number of exclusive sets in store is staggering. The first is the LEGO Architecture London skyline set, which started life as a exclusive to the Leicester Square store.
Originally, the Lego company even delayed the release of this pack so that visitors could enjoy it exclusively during the grand opening. Even today, it's the star of the show, selling for £44.90 and containing 468 pieces.
London Lego store: get your hands on a Lego model of London buses
Visit London's iconic red bus is also celebrated here. So you can get your copy for a small fee on the spot.
The Leicester store retails for £9.90. A real bargain and an inexpensive souvenir of your visit to the English capital.
Mosaic Maker: a new experience
The very first "Mosaic Maker" machine has been unveiled at the Leicester Square LEGO Brand Store. Essentially, it's a very large photo booth where prints come in the form of a LEGO mosaic on a 48×48 base plate.
You'll still have to assemble it, but it comes in an attractive square box. with a set of customized instructions.
Enjoy the magnificent Big Ben replica
The main attraction has to be the 6-meter-high Big Ben replica, but there are plenty of LEGO constructions scattered around the premises.
There's also a life-size replica of London's iconic red telephone booth. You'll also find a reconstruction of a telephone booth from the London Underground with a brick Beefeater and Shakespeare in tow.
Lego store London: Hunt for special gifts
There are a few other gifts you can pick up while you're out and about you're at the Leicester Square store.
There's a LEGO passport distributed (or you can request one), which is a little book that lets you collect stamps when you visit other LEGO-brand stores around the world.
Another is the annual LEGO calendar, which is distributed when you make a purchase in a LEGO-branded store during the promotional period.
It is generally available each year before December 10.
