It used to be called the Shard London Bridge, but there's no doubt that the new name is more eloquent and appropriate to its modernity, instead of the traditionalism of its former name.

Southwark: a place full of things to visit
Southwark is one of the world's in South London. In addition to the Shard, you'll find other important monuments, such as :
There are nearly 20,000 businesses in the area, and local leaders are planning to create 30,000 additional jobs by 2026.
To ensure that everything goes smoothly, 2,500 new homes will be built to accommodate the new arrivals.
Kings Cross: London's fast-growing business district
The last 20 years have seen King Cross grow once again. Where there was once an underused industrial estate, there are now 50 new buildings, 10 parks and almost 2,000 homes.

- A university
To get to this point, 20 new streets were added to the city on this almost abandoned plot of land.
This is where technology companies decided to set up shop, and now this district competes with some of the world's biggest in the same field.
Which explains why technology giants have also opened offices in King Cross.
This area of London will continue to grow as more investment comes in each year.
Whitechapel and Aldgate: the future of London's business districts
There is currently a plan to rejuvenate the area over the next six years.
This will include the construction of 3,500 new homes and the creation of over 5,000 new jobs.
As they don't want to be left behind, a university campus will also be built on site, to ensure the neighborhood's continued growth.
It is considered to be the district of the future, for all British and international companies looking to set up in London.
Other glass facade systems are sure to develop, and will be occupied by new companies that have yet to see the light of day.
