London Aviation Museum: a way to discover mythical planes and ships

In this museum, you can get up close and personal with the very first models of aircraft, right up to the latest jets and modern military aircraft.

There are over 100 historic and revolutionary aircraft on the site. The oldest aircraft in the collection, as well as that Vickers Vimy, SE5a and Bristol single-seaters are located in the plant.

On site, you'll also discover the surveillance office of Graham White, a pioneer in London aviation.

Attend a sound and light show

Watch the "Our Finest Hour" sound and light show (located in the Battle of Britain Hall), a superb audiovisual presentation of the battle.

Here, you'll discover the great battles of the RAF in a unique way. You can also learn more about the country's history.

This show takes place daily from 12 am to 6 pm.

London Aviation Museum: climb aboard a simulator

The Museum offers a range of unique experiences. For example, I'm sure you won't say no to a trip at the controls of a real airplane in the middle of a storm!

Take the pilot's seat and fly in our Hangar 1 simulation area, climb aboard the typhoon simulator or enjoy a 4D tour in Hangar 3.

There's so much to do in this museum, and it's the place to be! perfect for spending time with the little ones.

Please note that the simulator may incur additional costs. Be sure to check the rates before embarking on your adventure.

Discover the interactive gallery

The Aviation Museum's interactive science gallery for all ages. It's packed with over 50 hands-on exhibits specially designed to demonstrate how airplanes fly.

You'll find it in Hangar 3. You can take advantage of this space to learn more about aviation.

Where to eat at London's Aviation Museum?

There are plenty of options for eating out at the Museum of Aviation in London. So, whether you're looking for a meal or just a coffee, you'll find plenty to eat here.

Hangar 1 Café

Take a trip to the Hangar Café, for example. Here you'll find everything you need to recharge your batteries.

It's the perfect place to enjoy :

• A cup of tea
• Coffee
• Viennese pastries

All these snacks are served all day long. The café opens 10 pm to 6 pm daily.

Claudes restaurant

Claudes Restaurant serves hot and cold food and drink for a hearty lunch or mid-morning snack, in the unique setting of a 1931 RAF Hendon heritage building.

For a bite to eat, the site opens :

• 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily

Hot meals are served between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

You can visit us on site:

• March to October, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• November to February, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

How much do tickets cost?

If you want to visit this place, admission is free! However, depending on the attractions you wish to visit on site, you may encounter additional charges.
