How to get there?
The nearest DLR station is a 1-minute walk from the hotel. It is Prince Regent station.
You can find the hotel on the east side of Excel London, the closest hotel to the major tourist attractions of central London.
Aloft London: a complex building
The Aloft Excel is an impressive building artificially divided into two parts. One part, covered in glass, stands out from the rest of the hotel chain. with a focus on exterior and interior design.
The other part adopts a brighter color theme with a deep hue or purple and blue, making it even more colorful against the otherwise drab London sky.

A majestic entrance hall
The lobby is part of a larger area to which hotel guests and the public have access if they wish.
In this area, you can find an essential goods store, a bar called WXYZ, a pool table and a wide range of seating options.
It's an ideal space to relax with a drink and friends on a sunny summer evening with this south-facing view.
Aloft London: a luxurious room
Initially, you'll enter a fairly large living room with a central table seating four, a sofa and a TV.
A Nespresso machine is located underneath the TV set. Nespresso pods, providing espressos or good-quality drinks.
This space is complemented by a dedicated toilet and washbasin, dimly lit but functional.
Move on to the bedroom, separated from the living room by a sliding door, and you'll immediately be confronted with a comfortable king-size bed that's sure to give you a good night's sleep.
Numerous installations at Aloft London
When you stay at Aloft, you pay for a more complete and enhanced experience.
This is no less visible than some of the hotel's leisure activities. Starting with the fitness room, you can choose from a wide range of equipment for weight machines, free weights and cardio, making it suitable for almost any guest. It was a little crowded at times, but that's normal for a hotel of this size.
The pool is accessed from the gym. Although large in size, it is not particularly deep.
Best of all, the hammams and sauna are accessible from the poolside. The two bedrooms can each accommodate around 10 people.
Comprehensive breakfast service
Breakfast at Aloft Excel is served in their gastro-pub-style restaurant. known as The Docksider.
The hotel has returned to a buffet format. A wide range of dining options are offered in this buffet, but you can find :
- Bacon
- Sausages
- Eggs
- Hash browns
- Cereals
- Pastries
- Fruit
Of course, you can accompany it all with a good coffee or cappuccino.
Of all the hotels in the Excel, the Aloft would easily take second place to the DoubleTree. The hotel has a fun atmosphere and is high quality in most of its offerings, while offering facilities that are not so common in properties in this part of London.
